Abstract: This talk is a presentation of a numerical performances of
the stable Stokes spectral element introduced by Bernardi and
Maday. Some computational examples are reported which quantify the
improvements, induced by such element. We quantify the effective
accuracy and computational costs of this new mixed element in both
monodomain and multidomain configurations.
Finally, we show how a such element can be used to provide a family of
Goda scheme well suited to parallel computations. We provide numerical
tests to prove of its efficiency.
