Computations of 3D overturning waves in shallow water

The shoaling and breaking of a solitary wave over a sloping ridge
with a lateral modulation is investigated numerically in a 3D numerical
wave tank.
The model solves the full equations in the potential flow formulation and
is based on a high-order boundary element method combined with a mixed
Eulerian-Lagrangian approach. Results on the evolution of wave profiles and
wave kinematics up to overturning will be presented.
