Abstract: Eigenvalue and bifurcation results will be discussed for the Monge-Ampere operator. It will be shown that under suitable hypotheses global bifurcation occurs, bifurcating from a principal eigenvalue. In addition, we will discuss appropriate generalizations of these results to k-Hessian operators.
